La Fontaine, Molière, Boileau
The Golden Age of writers
Following the 350th anniversary of the première of Molière’s play Tartuffe at the Hôtel de Condé, then at the Château de Chantilly, this exhibition will showcase the complex careers of the masters of the classical style. With beautiful seventeen century editions as a backdrop, it will demonstrate how some texts have become monuments of French literature, whereas others have sunk into oblivion.
